This course leads to the award of the RNCP35149 level 6 title of French and International Buyer, a certification registered with the RNCP by decision of France Compétences on December 16, 2020, issued by the Centre de Techniques Internationales.

Main objectives

Train skilled professionals:

  • The main objective is to provide students with high-quality training in the fields of strategic purchasing and energy management, giving them the knowledge, skills and tools they need to succeed in these fast-changing sectors.

Develop practical expertise:

  • The program aims to develop students’ practical and operational expertise in the management of procurement, negotiation and supplier management processes, as well as in the sustainable management of energy resources.

Another aim is to make students aware of the importance of taking into account the interconnected aspects of purchasing and energy, teaching them an integrated and holistic approach to managing these resources.

  • The AGE Bachelor’s degree aims to prepare students for successful careers in purchasing, energy, logistics and operations management, providing them with the skills and experience needed to meet the needs of the job market.

BLOCK 1: NEEDS ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT OF A PURCHASING STRATEGY

  • Energy purchasing as part of corporate strategy
  • Evolution of the purchasing function – Positioning the purchasing department within the company
  • Identification of energy supply sources – Research and selection of energy suppliers
  • Needs definition and purchasing classification – energy market and policy
  • Marketing and regulatory intelligence: product, economic, technological, regulatory…
  • Market analysis and decision-making tools
  • Assessing and diagnosing risks related to international energy procurement
  • Implementing an energy purchasing strategy – New purchasing challenges: CSR, digitalization, innovation.

BLOCK 2: TENDER DESIGN / SPECIFICATIONS – SUPPLIER SELECTION

  • Specifications: drafting of functional and technical content tailored to the needs of energy specifiers.
  • Collecting information from suppliers (RFP, RFQ) according to public/private purchasing rules
  • Invitations to tender: setting up, structuring and drafting clauses, analyzing responses
    according to energy selection criteria.
  • Tailoring invitations to tender to country requirements
  • Management and monitoring of the energy purchasing budget.
  • Using ICC 2020 Incoterms to determine purchase prices
  • Setting up customs procedures and payment methods according to suppliers/countries

BLOCK 3: Negotiating Purchases – Contracts – Partnerships

  • Negotiation strategy – checklist of clauses to negotiate – conducting a negotiation

Alternation rhythm

Explore our dynamic work-study program, designed to combine practical on-the-job learning with theoretical classroom teaching. With a schedule of 4 days on the job and 1 day in class each week, plus one week of intensive courses each month, our students benefit from a balanced, immersive experience, perfectly adapted to prepare them for success in the world of global logistics.

Admission requirements

Admission requirements for the I²L Bachelor AGE program :

  • Candidates with a level 5 qualification (BTS or DUT), or an equivalent Bac+2 diploma or 120 ECTS credits in the specialization, can enroll directly in the 3rd year preparation course.
  • Candidates with a level 4 qualification and 3 years’ professional experience in a position of responsibility in logistics/transport/customs can enroll directly in the 3rd year preparation course.
  • Admission is by application, tests and interview.

    energy efficiency within organizations, thus contributing to the transition towards a more sustainable

  • Sustainable development manager: This professional is responsible for designing and implementing
